This Art Nouveau Brooch had extensive damage to the green enamel. We restored the translucent green enamel taking care not to make it too dark otherwise it would not keep its translucency and the overall effect would be lost. Greater temperatures can be used when dealing with diamond set pieces as they are originally formed under great temperature and pressure, other stones however like agate must be treated with care so as they do not discolour.
